Devcast ("we", "us", "our") operates the website www.devcast.ai and related services. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

• Account information: email address and authentication data via Supabase Auth.
• Onboarding media: a short video recording and optional photo used to create your AI avatar (voice clone + likeness).
• Scripts and content: release notes, feature summaries, and other text you provide for video generation.
• Generated videos: final output videos hosted on Mux.
• Usage data: anonymous analytics via Plausible (no cookies, no personal data).

How We Use It

We use your data to provide the Devcast service: generating, hosting, and delivering demo videos. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.

AI Avatar Data

Creating an AI avatar is optional and requires your explicit consent. Your onboarding video is processed by third-party AI providers to create a voice clone and visual likeness. You may request deletion of your avatar data at any time.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Devcast:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
• Mux: video hosting and playback.
• AI providers (e.g., ElevenLabs, D-ID, HeyGen): voice cloning, avatar generation, and talking-head video synthesis.
• Sentry: error tracking (no PII collected).
• Plausible: privacy-friendly web analytics (no cookies, no personal data).

Data Retention

Intermediate processing files (audio, temporary video segments) are deleted after video generation completes. Your account data, generated videos, and avatar resources are retained until you request deletion or close your account.

Security

All data is transmitted over TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure providers. See our security page for more details.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@devcast.ai.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
