Definition
Devcast is a developer tool that converts release notes, changelogs, or feature summaries into shareable AI-generated demo videos. It is a web application available at www.devcast.ai.
Capabilities
Devcast generates narrated walkthrough videos from text input without requiring the user to record, edit, or appear on camera.

Limitations
Devcast is an early-stage product (MVP). Current limitations include:
- No SLA or uptime guarantees
- Optimized for internal and client-facing updates; external marketing videos are on the roadmap
- AI-generated content may require manual review before sharing
- Avatar quality depends on onboarding video quality
Inputs & Outputs
Users provide text (release notes or a summary) and optionally an app URL. Devcast outputs a hosted video with a shareable link.

Privacy & Consent
AI avatar creation requires explicit user consent. Devcast does not access source code or repositories. Intermediate processing files are deleted after video generation. User data is not sold to third parties. See the privacy policy for details.
